Today I visited Pierreponts Café, and despite how busy it was, I was pleasantly surprised that I didn’t have to wait long before being offered a table. The staff were professional, friendly, and very attentive throughout my visit, which added a lot to the overall experience. The café itself is quite small, but it has a warm, charming atmosphere that makes it feel welcoming rather than crowded. I chose my meal based on the photos I had seen on Google, and it turned out to be an excellent decision. The tart with salad was fresh, balanced, and full of flavour. Overall, a great spot worth visiting again.

Stopped for a latte and scotch egg whilst cycling the King Alfred Way gravel route. Perfect timing and the food and service was top notch. Sat outside so could also keep an eye on the bike.

Really lovely visit. We used to be semi regulars but haven’t been for years. We were pleasantly surprised as we think it is even better. The atmosphere was relaxed, the coffee good and the food delicious. The shakshuka had the richest thick tomato sauce with just the right spice. We won’t leave it so long next time! Definitely worth booking as it gets busy. Plenty of seating outside if it’s a sunny day though.

We ordered eggs benedict and smoked salmon with eggs on sourdough. The eggs benedict were nice, but the second meal was absolutely disappointing- burnt toast and eggs dripping with butter. They didn't even taste of eggs!

Great little spot for tasty, wholesome food in the beautiful Goring. Amazing juices, soups and sandwiches. The shakshuka was one of the best I’ve had! Friendly service and care taken to note your dietary requirements. I’m dairy & gluten free and have no trouble finding something delicious to eat every visit.

We found this cafe by chance while staying in the area & loved it so much, we went back several times. The cakes are super tasty, with a good selection, including for gluten free. It’s close by the river & the staff are very friendly. Nice teapots. Great atmosphere. Great find. Thorough recommend.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for the food and the kitchen staff – they really do a wonderful job. The food was lovely, and we can’t fault the effort that goes into the cooking. The same can’t be said for the service. When we arrived and asked if there was a table available, the waitress (the older lady in the cream spotted top) asked if we had booked. When we said no, she looked us up and down and down her nose, which was both rude and unwelcoming, and sat us at the table right by the toilet. From that point, the service went downhill. When our meals arrived, my husband’s sandwich was placed down nicely and he was asked if he’d like any sauces. My chicken burger and chips were, on the other hand, was just dropped in front of me without a word , and I was completely ignored, Wasn’t even asked if I wanted condiments. We’ve been coming here for a while now – usually for a coffee and sausage rolls by the river, which has always been pleasant. This time we thought we’d treat ourselves by dining in, but the poor service has put us off. We won’t be doing it again. It takes a certain type of person to work in hospitality – someone who understands that customers are the reason you get paid. Every guest deserves to be treated with courtesy and respect, regardless of whether you personally like them or not. If you can’t manage that, then you’re in the wrong job. It’s really that simple.
