Great location, nice room. Initially we were given a room overlooking St James Street which is full of loud bars and clubs, other reviews mentioned the level of noise so we asked to move to the main road side which was done without any issues. Reserved parking which is secure and right under the hotel, £20 per night (limited spaces so best to reserve beforehand). Would definitely stay again if we return to Nottingham.

Arrived fairly late, parked in secure (but quite expensive) car park. Bit of a trek back up to reception through various corridors, but very pleasant staff on arrival to make check in painless. Room clean, large and confortable. A little bit of road noise from the main road, but the secondary glazing cut just about everything out. Bed very comfortable and large, black out blinds worked a treat. Bedside lighting a bit 'full on' or off with no reading light. Comfy desk to get some work done. Massive tv, but anything other than terrestrial at a cost. Bathroom a good size and clean and tidy. A/C set to 'cool' and couldn't work out how to get to 'heat' as it was a couple of degrees chilly. Went to bar for a drink and snack - nobody there on a Sunday night, but barman very attentive and pleasant. Good selection for breakfast, but cooked element not quite as fresh as it might be, but freshly done fried egg appreciated. Check out easy and pleasant. Hotel generally feels just a little 'tired' given it's age - main communal areas would be my suggestion for focus to add visual interest and quality/vibrancy. Good overnighter, small points raised not an issue just small things where improvement could be made.

I stayed at Park Plaza recently for a work trip and honestly the standout part of my stay was the service from Rob. From the moment I checked in, he made sure I had everything I needed and went out of his way to make me feel comfortable. He was professional but also genuinely kind and approachable, and it was clear how hard he works to look after guests. The room itself was lovely – very clean, comfortable, and just what I needed after a long day. No complaints at all there. But what really made the stay memorable was Rob’s effort and attitude. People like him make such a difference, and I really want to highlight how much I appreciated it. Thank you Rob for making what could have been just another work trip into a really positive experience.

Stayed in the executive king room, couldn’t fault the room, cleanliness or comfort of the bed. Had no noise complaints at all, I’ve noticed some people have, I assume it depends on which side of the hotel you are on. We were front road facing and had no concerns. The price of the room midweek was very fair for what we got. Would stay again.

We stayed in the Executive Room - with Sofa Bed. The room size is at average (not too big as an executive room), but the staff are really friendly. We notified them that it’s my birthday and they made a lovely birthday card. And a fruit collection for us. Breakfast is their selling point! It’s a great breakfast buffet - so you got bacon, hash brown, sausage, tomatos, eggs, and a lot of cool appetite. The beverage are amazing as well - organce juice, apple juice, tomato juice, tea, milk, all kind of coffee and hot chocolate. A good selection of bread - unexpectedly excellent breakfast. The car park is £20 per night. You will need to contact the hotel and pre book it. I suggest booking through their official website - we selected the ‘family experience’ deal which £93 includes 3 breakfast so it’s quite reasonable as at a Park Plaza hotel!

The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay, but the room itself felt quite rundown and could use some updates. Even though I was on the 7th floor, I could still clearly hear noise from nearby clubs at night-just like other reviews mentioned. Would recommend bringing headphones or earplugs if you’re a light sleeper.

Really lovely hotel - spacious and comfortable. The room (605) was very nice, comfy bed and lovely linens - we slept really well. Very near the city centre which was lively (and noisy) late into the night, but not too intrusive. AC worked well in the room, and the toiletries provided were of good quality. Had breakfast on site which was varied and plentiful. Freshly cooked and tasty - definitely set us up for the day. The staff were all helpful and friendly, which always adds to the experience. We pre-booked car parking underneath the hotel for an extra cost (unsurprising given the city centre location). Limited space, so we’re glad we did this. Shame to stay only one night, but would stay here again. Thank you.

I stayed at this hotel Saturday 25th October. Normally I get turned away from a luxury hotel but hamid and lewis on the check in desk were different. No judgement no looking me up and down after I asked if there was any rooms available. I was told yes and he checked me and my wife in. The room we had was more like a flat then a hotel room We later went to eat at the at the restaurant and I saw the man again I thanked him for showing respect to me and explained that we are not Normally welcome at this type of place. The restaurant was beautiful and again really nice staff. I had the steak and never had steak served over hot rocks that was incredible and a nice surprise it was really tasty and full of flavour. My wife had the pork belly the only issiue she had with it was it was too spicy for her and did not see that it was spicy on the menu, if it was there it was really small text maybe that should be put on the menu to let customers know. That's not a complaint just a suggestion. Anyway thank you for a fantastic stay and respect show by your staff.
