A lovely little café set in a pretty village. The owners and staff are exceptionally friendly and welcoming. The cafe was empty when I arrived, nearly two hours later almost every table was taken. Great to see the support for this place. I picked up a Ploughman’s lunch to take away and strolled down to the beach, just a few minutes’ walk away — the perfect spot for a relaxing lunch. Later in the day, I couldn’t resist returning for one of their delicious-looking cheese scones to enjoy for tea. It’s not the sort of place you’d expect to find a vegan café, it’s great to see them doing so well. Dogs are warmly welcomed, parking can be a little limited — there’s a small lay-by directly outside, but space is only available for a few cars.

Wow, what a find. This is a fabulous dog friendly cafe. The food is delicious - all vegan, lots of choice. The ambience is cosy, with a relaxed vibe. Ellie and Dale are friendly and welcoming, even the other customers were friendly and chatty. We were on holiday and weren't even staying in Bacton but we went to Cafe Carmel three lunchtimes in a row because we loved it so much, I think we tried half the menu in that time - thank you Dale 😋 we were even there for the Chim Chim Thai evening. My four legged nephew: Herman; loved the rainbow sofa, as did us hoomans too. This cafe alone makes it worth moving to North Norfolk!

We absolutely loved this vegan cafe. The cheese scone was absolutely delicious, it was served warm and had wholegrain mustard in the dough, the biscoff cookie pie was everything you’d hope it would be, beautifully sweet and scrummy. The cafe was busy, filled with lots of different people including wheelchair users and doggos but we were greeted quickly and given a cosy table in the corner, the service was really good. We will absolutely be back to try more cake/lunch and cannot wait.

Hands down the best vegan cafe we've visited, we first ate here on a summer camping trip last year and liked it so much we came back this year. The food is always incredible, brilliant menu on offer and the staff are all really friendly and attentive. Update: Visited 3 years in a row on an annual trip to Norfolk. The cafe and staff have consistently been awesome. The food is always incredible, and we've always felt so welcome. I absolutely love this place 😍

How lovely to find a vegan cafe in the little village of Bacton. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals and coffee. We took several pieces of cake back to our holiday home. Very friendly staff. Dog friendly. Definitely going back before we go home.

We absolutely love this place and can't rate it highly enough!! We visited every day while on a mini holiday to Bacton and couldn't believe our luck that this was just around the corner. Their all day breakfast is perfection and really good value for money. Their drinks are delicious and the cakes are a must! The owners are so friendly and easy to talk to. Whether you're vegan, vegetarian or neither of those, you won't be disappointed! We'll definitely be booking another trip to the area in the near future just to come back here!

We love Cafe Carmel! We have come to Bacton on holiday for the past two years and enjoy popping in for excellent coffee and lovely cakes. The staff are friendly and we feel very welcome here. It’s great even if you’re not vegan.
