If only a sixth star option was available on google. The courtyard cafe has an international fusion approach to a breakfast menu, this is great to see and packs in exciting flavours into their dishes. This was by far one of the priciest fry ups I've had but worth every penny due to quality ingredient preparation and the most impeccable service. Our waiting staff greeted us very well and welcomed us to table that could accommodate some others guests that may or may not arrive. we sat in an intimate annex room beside an antique dealer. we made an order of food and drink. when one of our other guests arrived we worried they wouldn't be able to find us as we where tucked in the annex, the staff noticed arrival and noticed they were looking for us, our friend was promptly pointed in the right direction. more orders taken. coffee quality was great. We enquired about a a takeaway sandwich for our other guest. Courtyard cafe said they would put the order to kitchen when we were almost finished eating so that it would be warm as we leave. A great touch. I have no idea how they make a humble hash brown so crispy and delicious. Highly recommend! Expensive! Worth it!

We enjoyed lunch at this little cafe. The service was very good and so was the food. It was very busy at the time we went and it was a little noisy, just from the volume of people there , but not enough to spoil the experience for us.

Lovely brunch has here. Originally sat outside but when the food came ended up with 2 wasps flying round. The staff quickly moved us inside. Food was lovely. Staff were very accommodating and friendly - actually some of the best service I’ve had in ages. The atmosphere is great. Offered us a dog bowl and highchair

Very nice staff, but concerning how the pancakes did not come with blueberry or cinnamon as stated on the menu. Bacon looked like it had been cooked the day before. We did communicate this in a polite way but nothing was done. A little disappointing for a birthday meal :(

Dog friendly in the courtyard but it was raining so we were put in a side room - not much atmosphere. Food was good but very small portions for the large price. Latte was Very mild. Staff got a bit muddled with the order and when sausages for the dogs were offered we didn't realise at first that we had to pay for them ( lots of really dog friendly cafes bring my pooches free sausages etc)

December2023 update First proper day out after a bug wiped me out. A day of dark skies, coupled with the kind of rain that just wants you to be wet. So given the choice of a sausage roll in the car or somewhere warm and comfy... Chicken wrap was lovely. Really nice meat, still moist; coleslaw I think had a touch of yogurt and mint so the flavours were just right and balanced with the spice of the wrap. Chips tasted fresh, and again just right. Pleased a table was available! And we need to go back to sample the cakes! Original... Lovely delicious fresh cooked food, fab coffee. Perfect if you are not in a hurry. The lamb kofta was an upmarket and very yummy kebab, and the Asian chicken was a fab combination of textures and flavours. Although the coffee machine wasn't working the cafetiere coffee was smoky and delicious enough that it rolled like velvet over the whole of my tongue.

Been going here for 2 years but Menu choice and the portions are now too poor. Ordered small brunch today and meant to be 1 item of each (bacon egg etc) however alot of items on the plate were served in half. Half a mushroom, half a black pudding and half a bit of toast so small couldnt even put anything on it. HALF a piece of toast? Sorry not worth the £13. Big competition over the road with new italian cafe with huge choice. Think my business will go there next time.
