We recently celebrated a baby shower at Wellies Tearoom and couldn’t have asked for a lovelier experience. From the moment we booked until the day itself, the communication was excellent, and the staff were so kind, attentive, and accommodating. The tearoom was beautifully presented—clean, charming, and welcoming. Our group of ten was served promptly, with delicious food and endless offers of tea refills, all without ever feeling rushed. It was such a special and relaxed afternoon, and we’re already looking forward to our next visit. A true little gem!

Not a particularly friendly welcome, and because we hadn’t booked we were ‘sent’ upstairs. Which wasn’t a problem but it came across as second best. Hot drinks very expensive considering they are only from a machine where you press a button. Coffee was tasteless. Food was tasty but let down by the big plastic containers that everyone shared for tomato sauce and mayonnaise. Dogs welcome which was nice.

Popped in while out with a few other motorbikes. What a find. Great food, fantastic service and a lovely setting. We had a pair of troughs and a few other breakfast items - the food was great - nice portions and good prices compared to other places in the area. Lots of parking too. We arrived at 9.30 on a Sunday and it was quiet - by 10.30 it was busy - they take bookings too. A true 5⭐️find - top notch service too.

Had a lovely breakfast here, well presented and quality produce used. It is easy great to have a ripe tomato that is properly grilled and soft to eat. Bubble and Squeak was a perfect touch and great for the tastebuds. Will be returning for another one of these delightful breakfasts very soon

A real gem of a place, located in a beautiful part of West Sussex. Wellies Tearooms is a wonderful place for a spot of lunch. In the summer, you can also sit outside on the decking (A preferred spot for the passing cyclists). The menu (Featured in my pictures) has a nice selection and the food we’ve had here has always been top notch. On this occasion, we had items from the main lunch menu, plus a glass of bubbly to celebrate the festive season (not myself, as I was the designated driver). I would recommend this place to everyone, but if you turn up and it’s busy, don’t be surprised, but it’s worth the wait!

We booked Wellies Tea Room for my sister in law's hen do and had afternoon tea as well as a flower crown workshop. Wellies is a stunning tearoom and the food was delicious! We were very well catered for and they were really helpful with the booking of the afternoon tea and workshop. Members of staff were lovely and the hen group had the best time! Thank you so much Wellies Afternoon Tea! 🩷 xx

Hidden Gem! We were on our way home from East Sussex to Hampshire and desperately wanted to stop somewhere for a nice cup of coffee and a cake. Avoiding Chichester we found this little beauty on the map and decided to head out. Despite it being super busy and practically full (would recommend ringing ahead just to avoid disappointment), the wonderful waitress squeezed us onto a little table out in their yard with a bench either side. We ordered two iced coffees (not on the menu, but were made to order with coffee ice cream and coffee), and two fruit scones with jam and cream. Needless to say we weren't disappointed, the iced coffee was absolutely to die for and was so tasty and refreshing, absolutely what we needed whilst we were sat in the sun. The scones came out not too long after and were still warm from the oven. Perfectly cooked with a lovely crunch on the outside and soft and warm on the inside. It came with a pot of Roddas clotted cream (is there any other?) and a little pot of strawberry jam. Both were delicious and generous portions for the scone and over all we thoroughly enjoyed it (I love a good fresh homemade scone). I would absolutely recommend this little hidden gem to anyone driving past or who doesn't mind a trip out of the town. There is a nature reserve and Kingley Vale only 5 minutes drive down the road which makes for a wonderful afternoon. Staff were really accommodating and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The waitress even came and offered us a table under a parasol once they had one free as the clouds soon disappeared and the heat ramped up. These small gestures truly stick with us as it reflects the staff caring about their patrons and making that extra effort to make us welcome. Please pop in for a visit you will not regret it!

Very nice food and service. We booked a table which I would recommend as not very big. Also, Saturday 7th, good job I telephoned in advance as lunches were not being served as they were doing 25 afternoon teas. Lovely macaroni cheese.
