This place was excellent! Got there shortly after they opened for the day and got the stuffed jacket potato with cheese and coleslaw for 5.99. The flavors were delicious and the service was very good. If you are in Chester and looking for something satisfying on a budget this will do. They have a seating area upstairs as well.

My favourite place to eat in Chester. The potato’s are fluffy, creamy and massive! The place is always clean, lovely music. Staff are kind and friendly and the service is amazing too. I love it here. I would eat here every meal if I could. Since moving to university in Chester I eat here every other day. The student meals are good.

We had two jacket potatoes - one cheese and beans with garlic butter and one ‘spud of the week’ which was Hawaiian - ham, pineapple and cheese. Portion sizes were amazing, great value for money, food was incredible. The woman who served us was really friendly and helpful. We sat upstairs and the view is great for seeing the cathedral and people watching. Good music, clean facilities and tables, great atmosphere. Will definitely be back!

Came with my best friend after we’d heard about online and the owner is so lovely. The spuds here are genuinely the best spuds me and my best friend have ever eaten. Highly recommend.

Love this place so much. Always getting my friends to have a spud from here. Portions are amazing. My favourite is the spicy cheese and beans with crispy onions on top, recommend. I don’t even like coffee but the mocha here is really good and I’m always getting a hot chocolate ☕️

Okay, but nothing special. Jacket potatoes were nice and soft inside, but the skin was very soft too - no crispness at all. The chicken curry was very lacking in meat and flavour; only a couple of very small pieces of chicken with lots of onion and pepper in a thin, bland sauce. We made the mistake of sitting in. Up a steep flight of dismal stairs to a pretty stark and unpleasant seating area. Should have taken the spuds over the road and sat in the cathedral grounds.

Stopped in at Spuds4U on Werburgh Street and was really impressed. I had a baked spud with homemade curry, and it was absolutely delicious – fresh, hearty, and full of flavour. The portions are generous, the food feels genuinely homemade, and it’s excellent value. Friendly service too, which makes all the difference. A great little spot in Chester for something tasty and comforting – highly recommended!
