We came to buy some cheese and stopped for a coffee and a piece of cake. Everything was really good! There is a large car park and a play area outside. There is picnic table seating by the front door but also a children's play area at the top of the car park. Inside to the left, there's a well-stocked cheese counter and deli with a chiller and shelves for other goods. Service was good in the cheese section. The rest of the inside is a cafe with an excellent brunch menu but it was mid-afternoon near closing, so we stuck with coffee (really good!!) and a slice of cake. My lemon and lavender slice was excellent with lovely moist sponge, and I'm not a great sweet cake person....It was 5 stars! So, all in all, this was a 5-star visit and a new find. We sort-of knew it existed but a visit confirmed it was worth the journey!! Recommended!

Very cute venue with lovely, Attentive staff. Food is priced fairly highly, but with quality and marketing, I’d say it’s ok. Food tasted incredible and delivered in good time. Venue also has amazing products for sale, which I’d definitely look into.

First time visiting the barn with a friend for our Birthdays. We had a cheese afternoon tea booked and was really looking forward to it! We had never been before so when we arrived we wasn't greeted at the door or to our table I had booked.. we just sat down ourselves which we didn't know as never been before. The staff were miserable, and after waiting 15 mins, I asked the girls if we ordered at the counter as we had pre booked an afternoon tea, only at that point we were noticed and they began making our food/drinks. There were no smiles, no music, no atmosphere which is a real shame. The food was delicious though, but a service with a smile wouldn't go a miss. Maybe if we visited again, the service and atmosphere will be better!

I was genuinely looking forward to dining here after seeing some enticing reviews and photos of the food. Unfortunately, my recent experience was quite disappointing, and I feel compelled to share some feedback. One of the most disheartening trends I’ve noticed lately—at this establishment and others—is the lack of basic service standards that should accompany the prices being charged. When we politely asked staff to clean our table, we were met with dismissive attitudes, as though such a request was unreasonable. It was particularly concerning to observe staff walking past visibly dirty, unoccupied tables without acknowledging the need for attention, all while serving drinks nearby. Coming from a pre-COVID background in hospitality management, I find this level of service quite disheartening. Basic training and attentiveness are fundamental to a positive guest experience, especially when charging £20 for breakfast and coffee. Regrettably, when service falls short, the quality of the food needs to be exceptional to make up for it—which, in this case, it was not. While the location and view are undeniably beautiful, they alone are not enough to warrant a return visit. I sincerely hope this feedback is taken constructively, as I believe there is great potential for improvement.
